Why We Judge?

Being in 2021, an issue that a lot of us face is being judged or the fear of being judged. I firmly believe that this is a also a root cause of multiple other problems like having very low self-esteem. Throughout my life I've never understood why people belittled someone. Now that I've put some thought into this, I've understood that what fuels judgement is a feeling of happiness and accomplishment. You feel like you've done so much better than the person on the other side, you feel happy you are not them because you consider that person to be a failure on some level. Now, let me take you through an example to explain why I think all of this is bogus.

Consider an exam, there are two students A and B, A finished the exam in 20 minutes while B took 2 hours. A used 7 pages while B used just 3, A had to write all his answers while B had to draw some. At the end of the day when the papers were graded, both A and B scored well, I believe life is very similar to this, like scoring well for this exam, the goal in life is to to be happy but like how A and B had different question papers to achieve their goal, every different individual chooses a different path and as for the time limit, every human has their own pace according to which they work.

What am I trying to convey here with this cringey example? Just that it's not bad to compare yourself or judge someone else or find happiness in someone failing but to understand that it's stupid, illogical and doesn't make absolute sense. Every human is writing a separate exam, with multiple other variables coming into play, comparing yourself to someone or judging someone just doesn't make sense, at the end of the day, what everyone wants to achieve is happiness and your route of choice might be different from an other person's.
